The 6th Open Air Rifle Shooting tournament for both men and women will be held on April 15 at Pele Khezhie Indoor Stadium D.Khel Kohima Village, below Oriental College Kohima. The tournament is being organised by the Kohima District Rifle Association (KDRA) affiliated to Nagaland Rifle Association. Dr. Tseilhoutuo (Ato), MLA, 9th Kohima Town A/C will grace the inaugural programme as the special guest.
A press release issued by KDRA president Visasielie Suhu informed that the tournament will be conducted under three different categories: i) 10m PCP Air Rifle (open sight), ii) 10m Break Barrel Air Rifle (open sight) and iii) 25m Air Rifle with Scope bench rest.
Entry forms will be available at Sports World, Kohima Town, opp. Bank of Baroda; Pfonuo Pan Shop, DBS junction, Kohima and Ketsu Pan Shop, D. Khel, Kohima Village.
Entry fee for each category will be Rs. 500/-. Last date for submission of entry forms along with entry fee will be April 13 till 4 pm for category i) 10m PCP Air Rifle (open sight) and ii) 10m Break Barrel Air Rifle (open sight). While for category iii) 25m Air Rifle with Scope bench rest, registration can be done from the spot.
Cash prizes for the winners for category i) 10m PCP Air Rifle (open sight) and ii) 10m Break Barrel Air Rifle (open sight) will 1st – Rs.12,000/- with certificate, 2nd – Rs. 8,000/- with certificate and 3rd Rs. 6,000/- with certificate. For the category iii) 25m Air Rifle with Scope bench rest, there will be an attractive gift hampers with certificate for the winners.
