71st Independence Day celebrated across Nagaland

The 71st Independence Day was celebrated across Nagaland with different organisation conducting social services in various ways. 
LCK: Members of Lions Club of Kohima visited children of the Eden Garden Children Home, Khuzama as part of Indian Independence Day celebration and the club members have given kitchen provisions for the children and sweets too. There are 234 children, 117 boys and 117 girls in the Home which was established in 1979.
Chukitong range: Dy Comdt MN Khama, OC, E Coy, COB Chukitong, 28 AR took salute from parade contingents in the programme jointly organized by Chukitong Range Public Organization (CRPO), Chukitong Range GBs Union, President VDB Association Wokha District, and president VDB Association Chukitong Block, the celebration included distribution of sweets to children, presentation of folk songs by Koio village Eloe Okho, demonstration on making of traditional fire by Seluku villagers, and tug of war between various groups.
SBI Mokokchung: The staff of SBI Mokokchung visited the district hospital (IMDH) and TB hospital on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15. SBI staff visited all the patients and interacted with them before handing over food packets. 
Murti Films Pvt Ltd: Actor producer and director Munna Yadav, Proprietor of Murti Films Pvt. Ltd along with his team Soapou (Apu) Khiamniungan and Sashi Dubey (VHP women president Nagaland) distributed clothes and food items to the poor homeless on the occasion of Independence Day at Dimapur.
LCD: Lions club, Dimapur (LCD) hoisted the national flag, distributed 5 sewing machines, planted trees and visited Ebenezer orphanage home with Sanjay Chhabra, chairman of the project. 
JNV Zbto: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Zunheboto celebrated with unfurling of the national flag by principal i/c Yogendra Akshay and took the march past salute by the junior boys, junior girls and senior girls contingents of the school. PGT-history Shailesh Kumar Dixit highlighted the struggle for independence. 
LCD: Leo Club of Dimapur (LCD) along with Lions Club of Dimapur and Lions Club of Dimapur Blue Vanda celebrated by hoisting Indian flag at the Leo park, Lion’s club, Midland, Dimapur. Members visited the Spastic Society St.Marry’s Montessori & Higher Secondary School and distributed edible and stationeries items to the students.  
RCD: Rotary Club of Dimapur (RCD) visited Saint Joseph Child Home and distributed dry ration, stationery, food packets to 42 inmates of the child home. A scholarship for the bright student of the home was also informed to the house.
JSD: Jain Samaj Dimapur (JSD) along with the youth wing Jain Yuvak Sangh visited sub jail, Kashiram and celebrated with the inmates and sub-jail officials & distributed various essential items, refreshments & drinking water.
NAC: Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) visited the Kohima orphanage on 71st Independence Day.
SET NU: School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Nagaland University (NU) celebrated at the academic complex of SET, DC court junction, Dimapur. Dean of SET, Prof. S. K. Sharma hoisted the national flag.
