The highly anticipated 71st National Film Awards, which celebrate excellence in Indian cinema, announced its winners today. The awards recognize outstanding achievements in categories ranging from acting and direction to music and production. The final jury report was officially submitted to Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State Dr. L Murugan earlier this evening. Following the submission, a press briefing was held at the National Media Centre in New Delhi where the jury members publicly revealed the names of the winners across all categories. Shah Rukh Khan won the ‘Best Actor’ For Jawan and he shared this with Vikrant Massey for ‘12th Fail’. Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji has won the ‘Best Actress ‘ for ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’. ‘Kathal’ has won the ‘Best Film’ in Hindi.
