
Republic Day was observed in various places across the state.
Aghunato: ADC Aghunato T. Moa Lemtor as chief guest unfurled the national flag, took the rashtriya salute and delivered the Republic Day speech. According to DIPR report, special number was presented by Toly Yeptho in the function attended by government offices, staffs, public leaders, GBs, DBs and NGOs.
NCC cadets of Nagaland: National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets (Senior Army and Air Wing) of NCC group headquarters, Kohima participated at the 72nd state level Republic Day celebrations at different locations under ANOs/ CTOs of units across Nagaland state. According to PRO (Def), Group Commander, Brig K Venugopal, SM unfurled the national flag in the presence of officers and staff of group headquarters, followed by the national anthem at group headquarters Kohima. Group Commander also attended state government function held at Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
VWF Dimapur: Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF) observed the day by hoisting of national flag and singing of anthem. A press release by VWF Dimapur stated that, DMC superintendent Ganesh Sharma, appreciated VWF for their selfless service towards the society and urged every single person to respect own motherland. Highlights of the programme included patriotic dance, song and poem.VWF Secretary, Ashim Debnath, youth members and advisors delivered speech on the importance of the day. Programme was chaired by VWF’s youth coordinator, Sudipta Chakraborty and special patriotic song was presented by VWF’s joint secretary Arijit Sharma.
BVP Nagaland: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Nagaland observed at Dimapur Dayanand Vidyaniketan (DDV) premises, wherein national flag was unfurled and speech delivered by regional secretary North East BVP, Bishnu Bhattacharjee, and national anthem sung by members of BVP Dimapur branch. A press release by BVP Dimapur branch joint secretary, Kamal Choudhury stated that, cultural programme was also organised, wherein Dr Wilvo Zeliang graced the occasion as chief guest and delivered a speech. A short programme was also organised commemorating 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as Proakram Divas on the same day by BVP Dimapur branch. Dr Ramashankar Siromoni general secretary Bharat Vikas Parishad informed that a programme on girl child and women empowerment will be organised on February 7 by Bharat Vikas Parishad Dimapur branch at DVN Dimapur. Programme was chaired by Puja Das Paul women leader from BVP Dimapur branch.
CHYN: Chümoukedima Hindu Yuva Nagaland (CHYN) along with the Chümoukedima Hindu Society (CHS) officials held a small programme on Republic Day, with founder president and chief advisor of CHYN, Pintu M Ghosh as the special guest. A press release by CHYN stated that, short speeches were delivered by Pintu, CHS president Krishan Sharma, and general secretary, Prakash Chetri. Sneha Das sang a patriotic song with a harmonium in the programme chaired by CHYN president, Raj Kumar Das.
