As part of the 75th “Territorial Army Day”, the 113 Inf Bn (TA) Rajput based in Dimapur and 164 INF Bn (TA) (H&H) Naga, Jakhama conducted various activities on Monday.
In Dimapur, 113 Inf Bn (TA) Rajput based in Dimapur marked the occasion by organizing a public outreach programme and conducted blood donation camp at District Hospital Dimapur during which 25 soldiers donated blood.
An awareness-cum-motivational drive was also undertaken at educational institutes where information and guidance for joining TA were imparted. Around 65 students participated from Public Commerce College, 230 students from Pranab Vidyapeeth and 225 from Women’s College. The TA awareness campaign was also attended by principals and staff of the institutes.
Kohima: Territorial Army Day was observed with a tree plantation drive organised by 164 INF Bn (TA) (H&H) Naga, in collaboration with department of Tourism, at Kisama on Monday. The tree plantation under the theme, “Grow Trees, Save The Earth”, was led by second-in-command, HN Suanlian and executed by the “Naga Terriers”.
In the run-up to the TA Day, 164 INF Bn also organised a blood donation camp on Saturday.
