The 78 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and under the aegis of the Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF, is set to organize a two-day Open Football Tournament on October 24 and 25, at WAPO Ground, Zubza, Kohima.
The tournament will feature eight local teams competing in a knockout format, aimed at promoting youth engagement, physical fitness and camaraderie through the spirit of sports. The opening ceremony is scheduled for October 24 at 10 AM, followed by a series of matches as teams vie for the championship title. The event will culminate with a closing ceremony on the evening of October 25, which will include prize distribution and special recognitions.
Highlights of the tournament include trophies and cash prizes for the winning and runner-up teams, along with individual medals for Best Player, Best Goalkeeper and Best Scorer.
