
Four-day School of Engineering & Technology Students’ Union (SETSU) Nagaland University, Dimapur annual technical festival “7th Tech Aura 2015” got underway Wednesday at college campus, ADC court with Dimapur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kesonyü Yhome as the inaugural chief guest. “7th Tech Aura 2015”-the only technical festival in Nagaland is held under the theme “Voyage to Vision”.
DC Dimapur Kesonyü Yhome in his address encouraged the students to live up to the ever challenging competitive 21st century. Stating that it we were in the era of specialized people, Yhome however lamented that due to lack of professionalism in every aspect, Nagaland was still lagging behind.
He urged upon the students to understand and combine the characteristic of scientific propagations in human life and its prospects.
Earlier, welcome address was president SETSU, Nyanthung Humtsoe, gist of Techaura was presented by convenor, techaura, Y.Yiben Patton. Short speeches were delivered by dean, NU SET & SMS, D.P.Chaturvedi and principal, Immanuel College, L.Sharat Singh.
Highlights of the festival included vibrant Northeast, God’s blessing was invoked by Zeme Baptist church, Dimapur Pastor Ilungle and melody by Sanepong Tzudir. The festival will culminate on November 7, 10 a.m. at SETAM campus with Governor of Nagaland & Assam, P.B.Acharya as the chief guest.
