8th Dimapur District Inter-Club Badminton Tournament concludes

The 8th Dimapur District Inter-Club Badminton Tournament, organized by the Elite Badminton Club under the aegis of the Dimapur District Badminton Association (DDBA), concluded successfully on October 21 at Vidhya Bhavan Higher Secondary School, Kuda Village.
The two-day tournament, held from October 20 to 21, witnessed the participation of 71 teams from various clubs across the district. Players showcased commendable skill, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the event.
The inaugural ceremony on October 20 was graced by Abeio Kire, IFS (Retd.), Additional Chief Secretary, as the special guest. In his address, Kire lauded the efforts of the Elite Badminton Club in promoting the sport and nurturing local talent.
The closing ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, as the special guest. Dr. Chang congratulated the organizers for the successful conduct of the tournament and encouraged the players to pursue excellence in badminton.
The tournament was conducted under the leadership of Convenor, N. Khate, and president of the Elite Badminton Club, G. Naga. Their dedicated efforts were instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of the event.
The tournament concluded with the distribution of certificates and awards to the winners and runners-up. The Elite Badminton Club extended its gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and supporters for contributing to the success of the event.
