Company Commander Pfutsero Company of 9 Assam Rifles interacted with GBs and chairman of nine villages of Pfutsero sub-division to include Zapami, Khezhakeno, Ruiyu, Lasumi, Kikrima, Pfutsero Town, Pfutseromi, Tsupfumi and Zelmi villages on November 28.
The interaction was focused on present security situation, issues of forceful taxation and ways to further enhance co-operation between security forces and villagers. During the interaction valuable suggestions were brought out for further improvement of relationship between security forces and the local population.
The members of the villages appreciated the efforts made by the Assam Rifles in maintaining peaceful environment. Both parties vowed to stand together to work for long lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
