9 Assam Rifles seizes liquor

9 Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) launched an operation on July 12, in general area Dimapur Road Junction, near Tsiesema Basa village, Kohima and seized 168 cases of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 5,86,560 (appx).
According to PRO Assam Rifles, the liquor was seized from a Scorpio vehicle (NL 03 1276) owned by Shitoi Sumi of Khehoi village under Peren district. 
In the same case, one Kheboto Sumi (25), driver of the vehicle, son of late Jomiho Sumi of Khehoi village under Peren district and Malo Naleo (21) son of Apa Nalio of Zhakhama village under Kohima district were arrested.
Later, arrested individuals along with recovered liquor and vehicle were handed over to Chiephobozou Police station for further investigation and action, informed PRO.
