DIMAPUR: 90.8 Hills FM- The Voice of Change and Intanki National Park have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen public awareness and community participation in forest and wildlife conservation.
The MoU, signed on August 25, 2026, will come into effect from September 2026 for a period of six months. The collaboration aims to bring conservation related information closer to the community through radio and digital platforms.
Under the partnership, 90.8 Hills FM will disseminate awareness content focusing on forest protection, wildlife conservation, biodiversity, responsible human wildlife interaction, and the importance of protecting Intanki National Park.
The initiative will include radio programmes, public interest messages, and digital content designed to make conservation issues more accessible and engaging for listeners. It will also highlight ongoing efforts to safeguard the park and its rich natural heritage.
The partnership underscores the importance of communication and community involvement in conservation, recognising that protecting forests and wildlife extends beyond protected area boundaries and requires greater public understanding and participation.
The MoU will remain in effect until February 2027, during which both parties will jointly implement agreed conservation awareness initiatives.
