Dimapur district administration and Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) have appealed to the denizens of Dimapur to implement proper sanitation systems in their respective localities.
DMC administrator, H. Atokhe Aye while addressing the awareness programme, as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, appealed to the public to segregate household wastes into dry, wet, home health care and electronic wastes.
He also urged the public to cooperate with the DMC in order to carry out the process for better sanitation.
DC Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome IAS who also spoke on the occasion, made a fervent appeal to the public to cooperate with the DMC in this regard.
While stating that government programme would be fruitless if the public do not cooperate, Yhome in this regard urged the public to support the DMC, being the agency to implement waste segregation.
He also appealed the GBs and colony leaders to disseminate the information on the importance of sanitation. The DC also laid emphasis on the importance of hospital wastes which has to be streamlined.
