Payment of honorarium to chairpersons

Finance Department (Budget & Monitoring Cell) in a memorandum has stated that in supersession of the department’s earlier notification the following has been notified: Honorarium of the chairpersons appointed to head the public sector undertakings shall be fixed at Rs.25,000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) only per month, or equivalent in pay and status of parliamentary secretaries; Such Chairpersons shall also be entitled to a monthly allowance of Rs.30,000 (Rupees Thirty Thousand) only per month to meet the costs of vehicle maintenance, POL and salaries for fixed pay drivers and honorarium of such chairpersons shall be paid from and out of the budget of the concerned public sector undertakings, for which financial support shall be provided by the government in the form of additional grants-in-aid.
