IRCS Wokha conducts medical camp

Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Wokha district branch organized a multi specialty health camp at Yanthamo village (PHC Nyiro) covering 7(seven) villages on March 27.
According to DIPR report, chairman IRCS and DC Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, said the camp was aimed at facilitating patients who were unable to avail medical facilities at government medical centres. 
He said that IRCS Wokha branch has been organising the camps annually and encouraged the same to be carried forward. 
Multispecialty doctors including medicine, ENT, eye, gynaecologist and dentist participated at the camp. Besides, other vertical programme such us leprosy, NUBDCP and Aids Control Society were also involved. Free HIV blood test and malaria blood test besides free medicine were given to the patients at the camp. IRCS also provided water tank for PHC Nyiro and Chukitong. BP instrument were provided to PHC Wozhuro, Humtso and Elumyo. The programme was chaired by secretary, IRCS Wokha branch, Dr. Z. K. Ovung.
