State finance department has instructed all departments to ensure that all bills/challans were presented to the treasuries well in advance so that such bills/challans reached the SBI in time for processing payments. In a circular, secretary finance, Y Kikheto Sema, stated during the last financial year some departments’ bills and challans could not be processed/passed as they were received after the cut off date of End of Day (EOD) which is midnight of March 31.
