Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF), a non-profit organisation, distributed 16 Corrugated Galvanised Iron (CGI) sheets each to 18 house holders of Y. Zhimo Colony, Signal Bosti Dimapur on March 28 who had been affected by the fire that broke out on March 23.
A press release by VWF stated that the donations for the CGI sheets came from members of the foundation, unaffected families from the locality and Dimapur based Construction Company Mohon Sing and Co.
Chief patron of the foundation Professor, Dr. Dalia Bhattacharjee expressed grief and his empathy for the affected on the occasion.
