Angami Students Union Shillong (ASUS) will be celebrating its golden jubilee on April 14 at U Soso Tham auditorium, Shillong under the theme, “Rise and Lead.”
A press release from ASUS organising committee convenor, Lhouvirielie Üsou stated that ASUS was founded in 1968 with Kevisiezolie Suohu as its first president. ASUS is one of the oldest student bodies functioning under the umbrella of Naga Students’ Union Shillong and the wider apex body of Angami Students’ Union Kohima. The celebration will include dignitaries and alumni from Nagaland and Meghalaya. A post golden jubilee celebration-cum-alumni get together will also be held in Kohima at a later date.
