Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) was launched in Cornerstone Higher Secondary School (CHSS) Dimapur Tuesday, at its school in the presence of deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel as chief guest.
At the launching programme, chief guest in his speech recalled back memories of his schooling days, saying that the present generation of students were privileged to have all facilities and guidance.
He said that the present generation were very innovative, creative and resourceful, thereby he encouraged the students to upgrade for their own welfare and for society. He encouraged the students to focus on their interest and be committed in whatever they did and not be liabilities on society.
Highlights of ATL, was briefed by Robokart, Nabeel Quershi. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Mercy, invocation prayer was pronounced by Tosangla, welcome address was delivered by CHSS board chairman, Dr. Sashimeren and special song was presented by Kochamo of class-11.
Later, the programme followed ribbon cutting ceremony of Atal Tinkering Lab by the chief guest, accompanied by deputy district education officer (DDEO) R. Amongla Jamir.
It may be mentioned that with a vision to “Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators”, Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.
