Parliamentary Secretary for Veterinary & Animal Husbandary, S Chuba Longkumer Friday inaugurated “Cutter & Crusher Machine and Animal Feed Production Unit” at APMC Mokokchung.
The unit was formed under the initiative of Confederation of Naga Farmers Union (CONFU), NPF Farmers Wing, Mokokchung division.
Lamenting that various types of machineries, in the state has been wasted, due to non-usage and non-implementation in proper way, Chuba said that any project taken up should be implemented with dedication and conviction. He was optimistic that the new project initiated by CONFU, would benefit the farmers of the district.
For the economy of the land to grow, S Chuba suggested that produce (crops) should be identified according to the topography and should be grown for commercial purpose, in large scale.
Parliamentary secretary further added that Nagaland was in need of peace for development. He therefore urged the villagers to unite and let the peace prevail from the village council level. While launching the Indigeneous Micro Organism (IMO), as guest of honour, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS, said, harnessing micro organism for the benefit of the farmers was an important step towards progress.
The key note address on launching of the indigenous micro organism was delivered by CONFU President, NPF Farmers Wing, Central Office, Lanukaba and welcome address was delivered by CONFU President NPF Farmers Wing, Mokokchung division, L Yanger.
