Various agencies and departments in Mon headquarter had conducted social work at their respective junctions, roads and areas under the mission, “I Love My Mon Town” (ILMMT) on August 13.
The Rashtra Bhasha Hindi Training Institution, Mon too participated in the cleanliness drive by cleaning and picking up waste along the road side from DC’s residence to the local ground.
Ever since the mission ILMMT was launched respective committees under ILMMT have been playing a vital role to educate the citizens about the importance of sanitation and to develop a sense of ownership, responsibility and pride of the town by conducting awareness programs in the wards, colonies and educational institutions, through street play, posters, banners, newsletter, organizing weekly cleanliness drive by the wards and discussions in the monthly review meeting about the areas of concern.
