NGTC org ‘installation prayer prog’

Nagaland Garo Tribal Council (NGTC), the apex body of the Garos of Nagaland, organised an “installation prayer programme” at Garo Baptist Church, Chumukedima on August 13 with pastor, Pochury Baptist Church Chumukedima, Hopejoy Sharu as speaker.
In his message, the speaker congratulated NGTC and encouraged the gathering to work unitedly for the betterment and welfare of the people.
He remarked that Garos were an “aboriginal tribe” of Nagaland and a part and parcel of the land.
Calling upon the gathering to do away with “isms,” Sharu said, “quality and deeds of a good leader will be written with an ink-filled pen in history for his good deeds, but the deeds of a bad leader will be written with a pen without ink which will go unrecorded and invisible.
Other highlights of the programme were welcome speech by president NGTC Biplab K Sangma, special songs by Garo Baptist Youth Fellowship and members of Garo Baptist Church Chumukedima.
Vote of thanks was delivered by vice president NGTC Lexson D Sangma. Earlier, the programme was chaired by vice president NGTC  Altish Snagma and concluded with a mass prayer.
