LH, DDCF condemns assault on LH gen secy

Lotha Hoho Dimapur has condemned that untoward, excessive, and inhuman act of the three motorbikers of unruly Naga miscreants who assaulted a senior citizen, also general secretary of LH, and chairman, Lotha Colony Council, Diampurm, Renathung Ezung on August 8 for no rhyme or reason.
Terming this as yet another bitter jolt for the denizens of Dimapur in general and the Lotha community in particular, the Lotha Hoho Dimapur, chairman T. L. Merry and assistant general secretary, media & publicity, Khyothungo Tungoe in a condemnation note stated that it was very unfortunate that even elderly persons, rendering voluntary social services for the wellbeing and security of the society, who strive toward building up an atmosphere conducive for calm and peaceful co-existence, are acknowledged this way in broad day light by hooligans.   
LH stated that this kind of lawless and excessive activities must be curbed with utmost austerity by concerned authorities and stringent measures be affected to root out all such lawlessness, and the people be allowed to toil in peace. 
Lotha Hoho Dimapur has strongly condemned the shameful, atrocious act and warns that, under no circumstances, the above excesses would be taken as a stray incident and further appealed the concern authorities to expedite immediate befitting action.
Meanwhile, the Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum has also condemned the alleged assault on the general secretary, Lotha Hoho & chairman Lotha Colony, Dimapur, Renathung Ezung. A condemnation note by DDCF president Joseph Lemtur appealed to the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprits at the earliest and punish them as per the law, so as to ensure confidence on the minds of the citizens that they are safe in the city.
