Dimapur District Truck Drivers Welfare Trade Union (DDTDWTU) that it has appointed an ‘election commission” comprising Hukavi Zhimomi as election commissioner, Hekiye H. and Suren (Atobo) as asst. election commissioners for the election of new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016-2019 vide its executive meeting on May 25.
Informing this in a press note, the ‘election commission’ has notified all the bonafide members of the Union that the election for the tenure 2016-2019 would be held on August 20 at Union head office, Burma Camp, Dimapur.
It stated the election would be held in accordance with the provisions laid down in Article VI of the constitution of DDTDWTU and nomination would open from August 11-13 (2 p.m – 4 p.m). Further, DDTDWTU informed that last date for withdrawal of nomination would be August 15 (up to 4 p.m) and the scrutiny of nomination papers would be done on August 16 and any further information and correspondence in this regard shall be addressed to the election commission.
