BJP Wokha District Unit has refuted the news item “BJP Wokha demand replacement of vice president Nagaland” and termed the statement as “null and void.”
In a press note, vice president, BJP Wokha, Yiponthung Ezung, while informing that an emergency meeting was held on August 4 in this regard, claimed the press statement was issued by an “unauthorised” person and that vice president BJP Nagaland, James Vizo, and Wokha district in-charge has nothing to do with internal affairs of Wokha.
In this regard, BJP Wokha has appealed to all media organisations to not entertain statements published by unauthorised person(s).
The party further maintained that “all these unwanted things” were happening without the consent of the party incumbent district president, L. Meribemo Kinghen, who was appointed on July 25.
Meanwhile, BJP Wokha has appealed for refraining from issuing press statements about the internal affairs of the party and stated that any party workers seeking clarification could approach the party office at Wokha.
