Konyak literature board office inaugurated

Konyak Literature office building was inaugurated by parliamentary secretary of Sericulture, Home Guard & CD, E.E. Pangteang on July 27.
A press note by Konyak Literature Committee secretary, A. Peihwang Wangsa stated that EE Pangteang reminded the gathering that language was a part of maintaining one’s identity and it was necessary to strengthen the literature board in order to stand on its own feet. 
The releases stated that all present expressed concern on the importance of the role of literature board and agreed upon to organize the consultation on promotion of Konyak language in the near future.  
The dedicatory prayer was offered by the former literature secretary Rev. Y. Chingang while the chairman of the Konyak Literature Board Y. Manshah Konyak proposed vote of thanks.
The building was inaugurated in the presence of minister of Rural Development & REPA C.L. John, DUDA advisor N. Thongwang, parliamentary secretary CAWD, YM Yollow, advisor Bamboo Mission Naiba, deputy commissioner Mon Honji Konyak, president Konyak Union Manlip, executive secretary KBBB Rev. M. Chemyuh, Konyak Language Officer Nyeiang, advisory board members of the Konyak Union, members of the Konyak Literature Board and senior citizens of the Konyak community.
