Sakshi Student’s Union (SSU), Longleng district, has served a seven-day ultimatum on the Commissioner and Secretary (C&S) school education to fulfil the assurances of posting maths and science teachers at Government High School, Sakshi under DEO Longleng. In an ultimatum addressed to the C&S school education, SSU president Y. Pongshi Yangang and general secretary L. Hongba Yangang cautioned that failure to fulfil assurances within stipulated time would compel them to take own course of action, for which the union it would not be held responsible if any untoward incident. Reminding the C&S of his assurances, the union lamented that “unfortunately” there was no positive response or any action taken till date.
