9 Assam Rifles (AR) organized a “Civil – Assam Rifles” interaction with Gaon Burahs (GBs), Village Council Chairman (VCCs) on August 5, at Cheisewema Garrison. The interaction programme was held between Commandant 9 AR and GBs and Chairman of nine villages of Kohima Sub Division to include Tseisema, Tsiesema Basa Zadima, Phekerikrima, Phekerikrima Basa, Tsosonyu, Gwachonlo (New Tsosinyu), Viphama and Pheza.
The interaction focused on present security situation, issues of forceful taxation and ways to further enhance cooperation between security forces and villagers. During interaction programme valuable suggestions were brought out to further improve the relationship between both the security forces and general population. Later, the house resolved to stand together to work for long lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
