Incessant rains in Mokokchung district have triggered mudslides affecting normal life with most of the roads within the town and the roads connecting villages remained disrupted.
According to an official bulletin, continuous heavy downpour for the last two days has caused landslides in different wards and localities of Mokokchung town causing minor damages to residential buildings. One servicing centre in the town was hit by a mudslides resulting in damaging of two vehicles. However, no loss of life was reported.
