Nagaland Foot Hills Road Co-ordination Committee (NFHRCC) has urged the contractor to expedite work on Doyang bridge construction, so that construction of foothills road could be completed with the stipulated time framed.
In a press statement, NFHRCC convener Supu Jamir and secretary W.Y. Kithan said, “foothills road will not survive without Doyang bridge”.
The committee also informed that earth cutting in Ao sector has been completed and for which it appealed the competent authority to release the pending bills to the concerned contractor without delay. “As of now only 8 kms remain uncut in the entire stretch”, NFHRCC said.
It therefore, said that the work on remaining 8 km uncut portion will start from October 2016 and expected to be completed within a month or two since the government agreed to sanction the required amount.
NFHRCC further acknowledged the “popular government” for medicating the “peoples project”
