
Central Staff Training and Research Institute (CSTARI), Kolkata, ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, government of India in collaboration with the department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (ESD&E), Nagaland organised a one-day meeting of stakeholders for handloom & handicraft (H&H) sector for the NE states on August 3 in the directorate conference hall.
A press note by director ESD&E, M. Sangtam stated that the meeting was attended by Incessant Welfare Society, Dimapur, International Border Area Organization, Matei Kerelima SHG, Mhainamtsi, Peren, Zynorique Initiative, Kohima, officials from Industries & Commerce dept., officials from the Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship directorate, principals from all govt. ITIs in the state and the district employment officers from the districts.
The resource persons from CSTARI, Kolkata were H. V. Samvatsar, Director, Sanjay Kumar, joint director and L. K. Mukherjee, deputy director who dwelled on formulation of training curriculum based on the indigenous skills and practices of the NE states.
