Bhandari Town Eloe Hoho (BTEH) has appealed the state government to improve the road condition of Wokha-Merapani as this route was an important life line for the people of the district.
A press note by BTEH chairperson, Thungsali Odyuo stated that the road blockade had been caused due to continuous heavy rain. It stated that timely intervention of ADC Bhandari and department of Roads and Bridges enabled the clearing of the blockage caused by landslides in several locations between Merapani and Baghty.
BTEH also thanked the ADC and department of R&B for mobilising maximum input of machineries to restore the traffic movement.
