One person namely Khoyeih Konyak has been reported missing since August 2 after a trip to Dibrugarh for medical treatment went terribly wrong for him and his travelling partner.
Informing this in a press note, Mon Police stated that the missing person, Khoyeih Konyak, along with Konwang Konyak had gone to Dibrugarh from Mon for treatment. On August 2 night at around 23:20 hrs the duo reportedly boarded the Brahmaputra Mail train from Dibrugarh and alighted at Bhojo Station near Tizit at around 01:30 hrs but they were drugged by three persons on the train and were left unconscious, Mon Police informed. Konwang was found at Alipurduar railway station in West Bengal by railway police on the night of August 3 at around 7: 30 p.m and presently undergoing medical treatment at the railway hospital.A police team with family members have been dispatched to take him into safe custody, Mon Police added. However, Mon Police stated that Khoyeih Konyak was still missing and efforts were on to trace him.
