Drawing attention to the public outcry due to “half hearted services” of some departments, Phek Area Public Organization (PAPO) has appealed the concerned departments to redress the grievances of the public.
A press note by PAPO president Vezhehu Vero and general secretary, Zechete Mekrisuh pointed out the failure of link at SBI Phek and frequent outage of power and poor supply of water.
PAPO stated that even with a few drops of rain or a mild storm, power goes off and the manual staffs having no resources within their level in the absence of their superiors often responds to the public with “flimsy excuses”.
The organisation stated that irregular power supply during the month would have no effect on consumers’ bill but rather keep on increasing.
PAPO stated that regular supply of water was the indispensable need of every household whereas the responsibility of the department was assigned to one JE or one senior most grade staff without a single paisa left to repair a pipe or leakages.
The organisation also pointed out the frequent link failure of SBI Phek causing great inconvenience to the general public who come from far villages and the bank for keeping erratic working hours.
