Drinking water project launched at Yongam village

A “mega drinking water project”-an underground bore well for all the villages under 49 A/C Tamlu was launched on July 23 at Yongam village by EAC Yongnyah, Changsang.
Speaking at the launching programme, EAC said drinking water was one of the major needs of the people living in hilly areas and urged the gathering to safeguard the facility.
He stated that the villagers being stakeholders should maintain the facility in order to provide clean drinking water to all.
The launching programme was attended by all the public leaders of 49 A/C Tamlu, leaders from PPC and PSC, village student bodies, village councils, a team from Nagaland Resource Centre for women to Yongam Village on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme and public. 
Earlier, Yongam Baptist Church Pastor, Meyu said the invocation and short speech was delivered by B. Hayu.
