Nagaland Veterinarian’s Association (NVA) has vehemently condemned the physical assault meted out to chief veterinary officer (CVO), Zunheboto, Dr. Toshi, a bonafide member of NVA who is also a senior officer in the department of Vety & AH and his official driver while on official duty on May 31, at Kohima town by five men without any rhyme and reason.
NVA in a press note by its general secretary, Dr. Micheal Imti Imchen stated that the perpetrators also snatched away the keys of the official vehicle which also caused a lot of undue harassment to the concerned member and official.
While condemning the unwarranted harassment, NVA stated that such conduct does not have any place in a civilised world.
NVA would also like to thank the officer-in-charge, all officers, personnel of the North police station, Kohima and the IRB personnel on duty for the prompt action in arresting all the perpetrators in a span of few hours.
