USSC to launch phase- II protest from June 6

With no positive response from the state government, the United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has called for the second phase of agitation on June 6 in support of their demand for setting up of SDEO office at Longkhim.
The first phase of agitation concluded Thursday without any untoward incident.
USSC executive secretary, Yangdipi Sangtam said that during the second phase of agitation, the conference would impose closure of all government offices and establishments and restrict movement of government vehicles within the entire Sangtam jurisdiction- Kiphire district and Longkhim sub-division.
Security forces, administration, medical, paramilitaries, fire and emergency services have been exempted from the purview of the bandh and also all the education institutions asked to remain open.
Further USSC appealed all the public to cooperate and regretted for the inconvenience.
