Preparing Northeast for digital India trg underway

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Kohima organized the 3rd batch orientation programme on information and communication technology (ICT) skill training program under the theme- “preparing Northeast for digital India” began at NIELIT on 
Wednesday.
Director i/c, NIELIT Kohima Er. Lanuwabang in his address to the trainees said that the training program was part of the ongoing, nationwide digital India initiatives, undertaken in association with National e-Governance Division NeGD, department of Electronics and Information Technology DeitY, ministry of Communication and Information Technology, govt. of India; and the dept. of IT & C, govt. of Nagaland. He said ICT skill training program main focus was for the government employees of the various state departments and NIELT Kohima as the enforcing medium.
Director highlighted the benefits and importance of IT skills and knowledge and urged the trainees to embrace the training constructively, so as to implement their skills and knowledge in the workplace, for a smooth efficient, transparent system.
Altogether 40 trainees representing eight governmental departments participated the training.  The 1st and 2nd batch also was successfully conducted recently.
