Water supply scheme for Ukha village under NRDWP 2015-16 was inuagurated by Parliamentary secretary for Sericulture, CD & Home Guard E.E Pangteang today.
Speaking at the occassion, the parliamentary secretary stressed on importance of potable water for health and hence the need to sustain the scheme by active participation of the beneficiary.
He also appreciated the field staff and officer of PHE Department as well as the active participation of the villagers for the successful implementation of the scheme.
The inuagural programme was chaired by E.A.C Mopong Yanithung. N. Ngullie and the Technical report was presented by SDO PHED Tobu, Toshi Yimchunger while various dignitaries including former minister Nyamnyei, SDO (c) Monyakshu, EAC Tobu, J.E PHED Tobu, Public leader, Chairman and G.Bs of neighbouring villages attended the programme.
In another function, the parliamentary secretary felicitated the successful HSLC candidates of Mopong GHS.
Addressing at the programme, Pangteang acknowledged the teaching staff and EAC Mopong for their sincere effort in providing quality education to the students. He also exhorted the teachers of Mopong circle to be more sincere and dedicated in their assigned duties. Keeping his commitment to award Rs. 10000 to successful students, Pangteang felicitated with cash award of Rs.10000. It may be added that Pangteang sponsored free coaching classes for the students of GHS Mopong and GHS Angjangyang.
