AYUSH department District Hospital (DH) Tuensang and Nagaland Homeopathic Association Tuensang (NHAT) jointly organized a function to mark the 263rd birth anniversary of the founder of Homeopathy, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, at the office of NHAT, with the whole country on “World Homeopathy Day” on April 10.
A press release issued by medical office (AYUSH) DH Tuensang stated that, speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, SMO in-charge DH Tuensang, Dr. Suresh Tiwari explained the various programs run by the governments of India and Nagaland under AYUSH department. He said that Homeopathy has been used by 550 million people world-wide. He also said that around 20% of people in India use homeopathic medicine and 7500 dispensaries, 307 hospitals and 180 teaching institute have been affiliated to different universities and functional in the country. Yongkongsamba Chang also spoke on homeopathy, the life of Dr. Hahnemann and the various programs organized by Nagaland Homeopathic Association.
The programme was chaired by Dr. lmtila Sangtam while a vote of thanks was offered by Chongti Khiamniungan.
