Dimapur police conducted raids and operations in and around Dimapur and registered various cases from April 16-19.
DC court junction: According to additional deputy commissioner of police Dimapur/PRO, Dimapur police conducted raids in around DC court junction on April 16 and seized 40 cases of assorted IMFL from a xerox shop. In this connection, two persons namely Guarav Kumar (23) and Sunil Das (24) have been arrested.
Nagarjan junction: On April 17, Dimapur police conducted a raid in a shop located at Nagarjan junction where only mineral water bottles were displayed. During the search six cases of IMFL were recovered. In this connection, one person Rahul Das (20), a resident of United colony Nagarjan Dimapur was arrested.
Purana Bazar: Dimapur police led by Amit (IPS) conducted surprise a raid in a shop located at Purana Bazar near Hollohon petrol pump and recovered 20 cases various brands of IMFL on April 18. In this connection, Rajendra Singh (37) from Sikar district Rajasthan, presently residing at Purana Bazar Dimapur has been arrested.
4th mile area: 41 Assam Rifle has arrested one ‘leacy’ NSCN (R), Robin Lotha (42) son of Rapemo of Old Aree village, PS Sungro under Wokha district on April 18 from 4th mile area for possession one point 22 pistol with two live rounds.
2 arrested: On April 18, GRPS personnel arrested two person namely Nengboi Haokip, wife of Yethum, resident of Lambulane, Jail road, Imphal West Manipur and Seijahao Haokip son of Otkhomang Haokip resident of Gamnom Veng Binda Part-3, Moreh, Chandal Manipur for possession of 270 bottles of phensedyl.
Dellai Gate: Based on specific information, Dimapur police arrested two persons from Dellai Gate on April 19 while extorting money from the truck drivers in the name of NSCN (IM) and NSCN (U). The apprehended individuals have been identified as Renben Lotha son of Nkhao Lotha, of Longki village, PS Khatkhati Assam (Karbi-anglong), member of NSCN (IM) and Lanuyanger Ao son of Sashirga Ao, of Aokong colony near Dellai gate, under West police station, member of NSCN (U). Cash amounting to Rs. 9390 along with tax coupon were seized from their possession.
