NSCN/ GPRN (Reformation) has accused NSCN (I-M) of “attacking and arresting” members of “revolutionary group” and termed it as “most unfortunate and uncalled for”,
In a press release, NSCN (R) MIP alleged that the group’s two ‘deputy kilonsers’ Yamthong and Tangsoi were arrested by NSCN (I-M) on April 30 at Dimapur and questioned whether the arrest was made by the regional authority, in their own individual interest or by higher authority of the NSCN (I-M) government.
NSCN (R) has asked NSCN (I-M) to clarify or explain before the Naga people adding that such act was not a “good sign” when Nagas were yearning for “peace and reconciliation” amongst the various section of the Naga society.
NSCN (R) also claimed that more than ten days ago, two of its Naga army who were arrested by NSCN (I-M) were still under its custody and asked NSCN (I-M) to to clarify before the Naga peoples for this “draconian act towards the Naga people”. It further questioned whether such arrest and attack would bring any solution to the Nagas.
Stating that such kind of “illegal and unwanted activities towards genuine” Nagas would not bring any solution NSCN (R) said it would rather creates disunity and was detrimental towards peace and unity.
Further, NSCN (R) has appealed the Naga people to ponder over the activities of NSCN (I-M) for targeting its members without any rhyme and reasons, when its group has affirmed and unanimously resolved to support the Naga Peace Accord signed between the NSCN (I-M) and government of India.
NSCN (R) has also appealed to all the Naga National Political Groups ( NPGs) to adhere and uphold the “principle and integrity” of peace and reconciliation so as to bring a fruitful solution to the protracted Naga political problem.
