Advisor, Urban Development, S.I. Jamir has lauded Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) for undertaking various developmental works in the town since the beginning of 2015. Inaugurating the 15th road repaired by DMC at Lengrijan Colony, Dimapur on Monday, Jamir said Dimapur has not witnessed this much positive developmental activities in the past.
While lauding DMC administrator, H. Atokhe Aye and his team, the advisor urged upon the public to extend support and cooperation to the Municipal for more development.
Also speaking at the programme, DMC Administrator, H. Atokhe Aye said that at least 65 community dustbins have been constructed by the DMC, however, lamented that the public were not using the designated dustbins during specified time thereby littering the localities.
He appealed the public to inculcate civic sense so that hygienic environment in the town is maintained.
Affirming that the Dimapur Municipal Counci was committed to carry out more developmental activities, Atokhe welcomed any positive feedbacks and criticisms from the public.
He also thanked the state government and the public under whose support DMC could carry out its duty in providing basic developmental needs in the town. GBs, Lengrijan Village Council members and elders of the locality attended the inaugural programme.
