MCCI reaffirms; elects new team

Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) has reaffirmed to its earlier resolution that businesses would not “register” with any other underground entity in Mokokchung. 
In a press release, MCCI information and publicity secretary said that the resolution was adopted during its meeting held on March 29 at MMC complex, where other important issues were also deliberated. 
The house has also decided that MCCI constitution should be reviewed for amendment, and for which it suggested setting up of special committee in mobilizing resources for the proposed MCCI complex. MCCI has also nominated a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016-19. 
The new team is headed by Tsukti Longkumer and Yimtisunep as appointed as president and vice president. Limalenden Longkumer was appointed general secretary while the joint secretaries included Opangrenba (Organization), Shyam Sunder Dayama (Finance), Senti Walling (Information & Publicity) and Imkongchuba (Administration). M.Bendangnukshi Longkumer and Moasangba Jamir were appointed as senior advisors. Earlier, senior advisor of MCCI, M.Bendangnukshi Longkumer exhorted the gathering while T.Senka Walling spoke on the topic “Mokokchung as market for entire northern Nagaland.”  The proceedings of the meeting also included presenting and tabling of audit report, general report and nominating committee report.
