Home comers were warmly welcomed into the NSCN fold on March 26, attended by convenor steering committee, Qhevihe Chishi, kilo kilonser Rh. Raising, steering executive members and cabinet. Altogether 245 comrades from Konyak and Phom region of the Apao designated camp, four from unification, two from Khaplang group and one from reformation with altogether 252 officials had joined the NSCN.
NSCN/GPRN through its MIP informed that convenor steering committee, Qhevihe Chishi extended deep appreciation to the leaders and all the officials and praised ‘gen.’ Kholi for taking the right decision at the right time and said that God would be pleased with this correct decision. He further exhorted to respect and honour “our” leaders through required discipline and wisdom and that with these virtues walk together and finish “our” political journey.
Collective leadership member, Tongmeth Wangnao delivered a short message on behalf of ‘gen.’ Kholi saying that, “many of our Naga people are too obsessed with high portfolio without any responsibility”. Kholi further said that “shouting of Naga unity from the roof top without sincerity would not bring unity”. In this regard Kholi had left the high chair of the unification group in search of true reconciliation, unity and the correct future of the Naga people by joining hand with Isak Chishi Swu and Th. Muivah.
Kilo kilonser, Rh. Raising extended greeting to the collective leadership and expressed immense happiness with the positive development taking place within the Naga family. He said that NSCN was the home of the Nagas and not faction and appealled all the Naga brethren to come home. Stressing that it was a house for all Nagas to live together, Raising added that “comrades from every corner have come home today to seek our future together”. He said that NSCN would not fail in seeking the Naga people’s future and also thanked God for bringing to the Naga people the August 3 framework agreement which has laid the political foundation between India and Nagas.
Kilo kilonser of unification group, Vitoi Aye who had joined NSCN expressed that it was God’s well that appropriate moments for Naga people was at hand under the competent leadership of Th. Muivah and Isak Chishi Swu. He declared that he was not seeking for a position but rather to work for the final Nagal political solution.
Kilonser, ‘col. Rtd’ Athrom recalled the vision of Kholi to unify the Nagas for solution and expressed great hope that the combining together of great leaders would be the realization of such a vision. He declared the support of all the people of the region, both civil and army as Kholi joined hand with Isak Chishi Swu and Th. Muivah.
Lt. gen Kosham also declared that Apao designated camp was intact and would always follow the good footsteps of Kholi.
