Nagaland governor P. B. Acharya has extended his greetings and good wishes to the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Holi festival. In his message, Acharya said Holi, the colourful festival, bridged the social gap and renewed relationships. He said Holi celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety signified the triumph of “Good’ over ‘Evil’.” Stating that people of the state have been passing through a period of turmoil for a long time, he said now it was the right time to come out of it and make fresh initiatives for permanent peace in the State. He also called upon all the civil society groups to get united and to work for the success of peace talks. Acharya said “dear bothers & sisters, let us through the spirit of Holi transcend all barriers and strengthen our social fabrics to make our Nagaland ‘A Golden Nagaland’ by bringing our society together, with the spirit of forgiving and renewing fellowship.”
