Kohima South PS police personnel arrested two highway robbers on March 20. The police personnel, on receipt of information that some unknown miscreants were extorting from Manipur bound truck at Lerie junction, rushed to spot and apprehended one miscreant identified as A. Sumi (34 yrs) however his accomplice fled from the scene. The absconding accomplice identified as M. Letro (26 yrs) was, however, apprehended from the town on the same day.
In this connection, a criminal case has been registered at Kohima South PS Case No. 0010/2016 U/S 392/34 IPC against the duo.
