A week-long spiritual awakening programme of Poumai Baptist church Kohima (PBCK) with the theme “revive us again, oh Lord” concluded on March 19.The programme had commenced on March 13.
Pastor PBCK Rev. Thaongaolou Rosü speaking on the topic “prepare to meet thy God” on the last day of the programme reminded the members that heaven was for those who were prepared and no one could enter God’s prepared place unless he/she was spiritually prepared. Reverend challenged the members present to prepare to meet God before it was too late.
Reverend said one should overcome all the trials and temptations in life to enter God’s prepared place. He challenged the congregation to examine oneself if he/she name would be written in the book of life in the heaven to see the kingdom of God. Citing the example of Israelites stubbornness, he warned that whoever turns the heart away from God even after witnessing God’s miraculous signs and wonders in life would never enter the kingdom of God.
The other speakers of the spiritual awakening week were women chairperson PBCK, Esther, associate pastor PBCK Soni Shangne and deacon PBCK, D.M. Moses. Hundreds of church members attended the week long programme and received blessings.
