Accountant General (A&E) has informed all the retired state government officers/officials that pension and GPF final payment cases settled up to the month of February 2016 had been uploaded on the AG Nagaland website. Pensioners may log on to AG office web-site at www.agnagaland.gov.in by clicking at ‘felicitation and Pension’ or ‘GPF felicitation’ or by directly clicking on the sticky note written ‘Click here to view list of settled Pension/GPF final payment cases’.
The same list had been displayed on the website also been put up for display at the Public Relation Cell and could be viewed on any working days during office hours, said a press release from the senior accounts officer of the Information Systems Cell.
The release further informed that AG(A&E) had requested all retired government employees to record their personal mobile number(s) in the pension documents again so as to enable the office to intimate them on the progress of their pension cases through SMSs.
It said, the SMSs would be triggered through Pension Database SMS gateway No. 9402739265 and that since the number was integrated with the system, pensioners were requested not to call the number but to note it down as all SMSs would be initiated through the number. SMSs will be sent during the following stages: (1) When confirmation on the pension case was received. (2) When the case was sent back to the department due to observation/objections. (3) When the pension case was completed.
The release further said, aggrieved pensioners or government officials with genuine problems were requested to write directly to the deputy accountant general (A&E) Kahoto J Yepthomi, via e-mail at kahoto_j@yahoo.co.in, or agaenagaland@cag.gov.in, or through a handwritten letter to the address given below for immediate clarification and redressal of their grievances. They could also submit suggestions to strengthen the delivery system.

The release said, the information was also to intimate all gazetted officers whose payslips were issued from AG office that, incumbency list and post continuation orders from more than fifty departments were yet to be received by the office.
It said that the matter was already taken up with the department of P&AR in a letter dated 11-03-2016 with copies duly endorsed to the concerned secretaries and directors.
The release informed those departments in receipt of the letter to adhere to the guidelines and expedite the submission of incumbency list and post-continuation order for further action.
The release also informed all Heads of Department (HoD) in the state government to ensure timely submission of all retirement related documents (that is, six months before the date of retirement) to avoid harassment to retired officials at various processing stages.
It said, cases of many officials received before the date of retirement had been settled by the office on their retirement date/day and that as a demonstration of seriousness the office accords to sensitivities of retired officials and their retirement benefits.
The release further asked the departments to take up the matter of timely submission of retirement documents with seriousness so as to enable the pensioners to receive their retirement benefits in time.
