In a major breakthrough, a combined team of Special Investigation Team (SIT), local police and NAP (IR) personnel arrested three persons in connection with the killing of late Alemba Sangtam and late Narola on February 6 near Yayi bridge under Shamator sub-division, Tuensang district. According to SP Tuensang, R.V. Ezung, the three were arrested on March 9 by the combined team in targeted areas falling under Sharmator sub-division. The three are now under police remand and interrogation underway, SP said. Though the identity of the arrested persons were not revealed, SP said that initial examination from the trio have “unravelled many key links” and many headway has been made into the case.
