State lone member to Lokha Sabha, Neiphiu Rio, MP stressed on being professionally educated and skilled in order to find employment in this competitive world.
He was speaking as the chief guest at North Town Higher Secondary School (NTHSS), Chumukedima 25th anniversary celebration on March 5 at the school campus.
Rio reminded that mere qualification would not bring employment if one was not professionally skilled and technically trained. He informed that more than 17 million youths in India would be seeking jobs but only the skilled and technically trained would be recruited.
Emphasising on imparting quality education, he termed education as the most powerful weapon and educating the society as the best investment.
Reminding the students that schooling period was the most important part of one’s life, he also advised parents and teachers gathered to mould the students and shape them for better future.
He also congratulated the NTHSS on reaching its silver jubilee and the pioneers of the school saying that they started the institution with a vision to serve the people while devoting and sacrificing with a sole aim of providing the best quality education along with the spiritual growth.
The anniversary celebrated with various items like special numbers, dances and others performances followed by grand feast. It may be mentioned that that the school was establishment in the year 1991 and affiliated to the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) with a motto ‘Bear Good Fruits’.
